You can play Spotify directly from your TV, or by using your phone, tablet, or desktop as a remote.
To see if your TV supports the Spotify app, go to the app store on your TV and search for Spotify. If your TV isn't listed, you can upgrade it with a soundbar or streamer that supports Spotify Connect.

Step 1: Install the Necessary Apps. In order for this to work properly, you will need two applications on your Mac. The first is called Soundflower, which you won't have to interact with but is needed to allow 'redirection of the system audio output as a system audio input.' Get started
- Download Spotify from your TV app store.
- Log in one of these three ways to play:
- With Spotify Connect.
- With your Spotify email address and password.
Note: If you usually log in with Facebook, use Spotify Connect to log in instead. - With a PIN. Select LOG IN WITH PIN. Then, on your phone or computer, go to www.spotify.com/pair and enter the pin you see on your screen.
You can listen to Spotify on your TV by using the Spotify app on your phone as a remote.

With AirPlay, you can use your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Mac to play Spotify on an Apple TV, AirPlay compatible speaker, or another Mac.
Google Chromecast lets you play Spotify from your phone, tablet, desktop, or web browser to a TV.

Spotify users on both Mac and Windows will now be able to cast Music directly from your desktop as the music streaming giant has added support for Google Chromecast to its desktop app. In order to be able to cast your Spotify music from your Windows or Mac desktop, you’ll need the Spotify version 1.1.38 installed on your desktop. Spotify Rock Star MattSuda was the one that posted about the feature on Spotify community forums earlier today.
Good news!
You can now find Chromecast in the connect “devices available” menu in the Spotify desktop app and browser web player. Now you can cast your music to Chromecast from the desktop app without having to use the iOS or Android app.
Make sure your Spotify desktop app is up to date
Spotify for both Android and iOS already has for Google Chromecast, meaning you can cast your music to Google Home or other smart speakers if you own an iPhone or an Android phone. And now, with Chromecast support coming to the Spotify desktop app, desktop users will also be able to stream music from their desktop to their smart speakers. To cast music to your smart speaker, you can simply use the usual “devices available” menu to see available Chromecast devices(via 9to5google).
